You can find out more about us on https://www.slb.com/who-we-are Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire Description & Scope: ?? ?Develop an agentic AI system that automates the generation of subsurface Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) compliance reports directly from our subsurface modelling software called Petrel. The system should orchestrate multiple tools such as reservoir simulation, the existing Petrel AI Assistant, and conversational insights - possibly using vector databases and LangGraph for workflow automation. In this project you will gain hands-on experience with reservoir simulation, AI-driven automation, and LLM-based solutions in a real-world energy transition context. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of geoscience, engineering, and AI, contributing to cutting-edge digital solutions for sustainable energy.? Responsibilities: Design and implement an agentic workflow that integrates Petrel, Intersect, and AI assistants for automated report generation. Configure and run Intersect simulations with different scenarios to extract required properties. Develop LLM-based components for intelligent orchestration and conversational insights. Implement vector database solutions for storing and retrieving domain-specific knowledge. Deliver a working prototype that can generate compliance-ready reports. Document the system architecture, workflows, and user guidelines. Qualifications : Studying a ?Masters? in ?Computer Science / Data Science / Applied AI / Machine Learning / Petroleum Engineering / Geoscience / Geophysics? or a related discipline Programming: Python (essential), C# (preferred) Experience with APIs AI/ML frameworks Familiarity with LLMs, LangChain/LangGraph Databases: Vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone) Cloud & Automation: Basic knowledge of cloud environments and workflow orchestration Bonus: Knowledge of CCS domain and compliance reporting, Reservoir simulation tools: Petrel, Intersect (basic to intermediate understanding) _SLB is an equal employment opportunity employer.
