Overview
Personal Assistant needed to support James, an 80‑year‑old resident of Southerness, with daily care tasks. The role totals 8.75 hours per week comprising morning and evening sessions.
Responsibilities
* Morning session (~45 minutes at 11:00 am): assist with getting up, emptying commode, shower/help with washing, and breakfast preparation.
* Evening session (~30 minutes at 6:00 pm): assist with dinner and, if desired, help to bed.
* Provide companionship and assist with activities such as reading, watching TV, and playing games.
Requirements
* Local to Southerness or possess a valid driving licence to travel to the residence.
* Previous experience in personal care preferred but not required.
* Comfortable around dogs; the client has two pets.
* Available for the specified times; flexible with schedule acceptable.
* Background check (PVG) required.
Terms & Benefits
* Pay: £13.45 per hour.
* Annual leave: 5.6 weeks pro‑rata.
