Job Opportunity: Multi-Skilled Operator – Renewable Energy

We’re currently seeking a Multi-Skilled Operator to support the day-to-day running of our client’s cutting-edge facility in South Hertfordshire. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same – perfect for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and working in a dynamic team.
Salary – £33,000 - £35,000
Location – Potters Bar
Contract - Permanent, Full Time
Working Hours - Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm (one Saturday morning in five)
Additional Information: Opportunity to earn bonus. Overtime is available (voluntary paid at time and a half)
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and maintain equipment to ensure the smooth running of the plant
* Load food waste into hoppers using a telehandler (license/experience preferred)
* Monitor and support plant performance via SCADA systems and computerised spares programs (training provided)
* Perform general floor duties and basic maintenance tasks
* Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving during operational issues
* Collaborate with the wider team to maintain safety and compliance standards
About You:
* Adaptable and hands-on, with a “can-do” attitude
* A reliable team player who can also work independently when needed
* Comfortable in a fast-paced, physical work environment
* Basic computer skills are an advantage – training available
* Previous experience in a waste, recycling, agricultural, or industrial environment is beneficial
