Contract Role: TTRO AVP EMIR (Trade and Transaction Reporting Operations)
Contract Location: Glasgow, office based 2-3 days per week, the rest remote
Contract Start: ASAP
Contract Duration: Full-time role (Monday to Friday), 6 months initially (inside IR35)
About the Role
The TTRO team’s role is to ensure accurate, timely, and complete trade reporting to regulatory regimes overseen by ESMA, MIFID II, CFTC, etc. The team provides independent assurance and governance over operational processes, including metrics, reports, and regulator updates.
You will support the TTRO Control Function, managing a team responsible for control functions related to Trade and Transaction reporting, focusing on EMIR and other European & US regulations. Responsibilities include daily control, MI, exception management, and user acceptance testing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with EMIR, MiFID II, CFTC, SFTR, and other relevant regulations.
* Oversee accurate and timely transaction reporting across asset classes such as Rates, Credit, Commodities, Equities, Loans, and FX.
* Manage exception handling, root cause analysis, and escalate issues as needed.
* Collaborate with tech teams to automate exception processes.
* Lead and motivate the team to maintain high performance and integrity.
* Support design of new business solutions, assessing impacts and risks.
Skills and Experience:
* Financial services operations experience, with knowledge of EMIR.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively in virtual and matrix teams.
* Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience with pairing, matching, and client delegation is a plus.
Requirements:
Experience with trade transaction monitoring and regulations such as EMIR, MIFID, CFTC, SFTR.
