Manufacturing/Process Engineer
Location: Antrim
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday | Early finish on Fridays
A well-established and highly automated manufacturing business based in Antrim is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join its engineering team. This role plays a key part in driving process efficiency, product quality, and continuous improvement within a machine-based production environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys problem-solving, optimising manufacturing processes, and working cross-functionally to support both new product introduction and ongoing operational performance.
The Role:
* Design, develop, and optimise manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality
* Support the development and implementation of new production lines and equipment
* Prepare and maintain process documentation, specifications, and standards
* Analyse production methods, materials, and equipment to identify cost-effective solutions
* Drive process improvements to reduce downtime, defects, and waste
* Work closely with product design teams to ensure manufacturability of new designs
* Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues related to processes, materials, and equipment
* Support maintenance and modification of existing machinery to improve reliability
* Deliver training to operators and production staff where required
* Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
* Analyse production data and KPIs to support performance reporting
* Carry out cost analysis and value engineering activities
What We're Looking For:
* Qualification in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering (or similar)
* Proven experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role
* Strong knowledge of machine-based manufacturing environments
* Experience with machining, assembly, or welding processes
* Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
* Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
* Strong problem‑solving and root cause analysis skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
* High attention to detail with a quality‑focused mindset
