You’ll be working with a major retailer who expects proactive contact, strategic input and full day-to-day support. This is not a desk job. It requires someone confident, organised and comfortable building strong integrated relationships across the customer’s business. Take the lead in creating and managing joint business plans that drive growth. Be ready to lead promotional planning and deliver accurate sales forecasts, while also managing range reviews and identifying opportunities to improve category performance. Work closely with the internal NPD team to help shape and launch new products and will ensure everything is aligned ahead of first production. This includes components, specifications and the detail behind every product hitting the shelf. The role sits at the heart of a cross functional commercial team. Work directly with category and marketing to turn insight into action, and alongside technical, supply chain and product development to keep everything on track. Analyse sales data to understand your market and track your customer’s position against key competitors. To succeed here, you will need around 2 years of experience in a commercial role within food manufacturing. Ideally, you’ll have worked with a major grocery retailer or foodservice customer and have a solid understanding of the industry. Got a driver’s licence or have the capability to zip up and down the country on a regular basis? Great! Regular travel to the customer and between sites is gonna be a key part of the job.
