SEN Teaching Assistant About the role Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs in a nurturing and inclusive primary school environment? Teach Now is working with a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Harrow that is looking to appoint three dedicated SEN teaching assistants to support pupils in EYFS and KS1 on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis. About the school Nestled in a quiet, residential area right next to a beautiful park, the school has recently undergone a remarkable transformation with a brand-new building opened in October 2022. It is also one of Harrow Council’s Additionally Resourced Provisions (ARPs) for pupils with physical disabilities, fully integrating these children into mainstream learning. The students you’ll be supporting may have a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, behavioural difficulties, and physical disabilities. Some pupils may require personal care, including nappy changing – this is essential, even if it is infrequent. The school is clear that all candidates must be comfortable providing this care when needed.
