Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of major infrastructure and environmental projects across a long-term public sector framework.This opportunity would suit a commercially driven QS with strong civil engineering experience and a proven background working within NEC contracts.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging subcontractor procurement, valuations, and paymentsPreparing applications for payment and commercial reportingCost forecasting and budget controlManaging compensation events and change control processesIdentifying commercial risks and opportunitiesSupporting project delivery teams with commercial advicePreparing and agreeing final accountsMaintaining accurate records and contractual documentationRequirementsPrevious experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure projectsStrong NEC3 / NEC4 contract knowledgeExperience working on framework or public sector projects preferredAbility to manage multiple workstreams independentlyStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsRelevant Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent experienceDesirable ExperienceWater, environmental, highways, or heavy civils sector experienceExperience working alongside tier-one contractors or major frameworksChartered or working toward professional accreditationContract DetailsFreelance / Contract roleCompetitive day rateLong-term pipeline of workHybrid working availableImmediate or short-notice start preferredApplyPlease send your CV together with a brief overview of your relevant project and NEC experience.Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
