Job Purpose
The core purpose of this role is to plan and execute effective retailer media activations with UK retailers for our customers across all business units, maximising the impact of Unilever's brands at the point of purchase.
Main Responsibilities
As a Retailer Execution Executive, you will be externally facing and sit at the heart of the business, delivering insight-led retail media activations for Unilever brands to influence shoppers at the point of purchase. This will require you to engage with our retailers, agency partners, commercial customer account teams and business unit brand marketing teams. You will work in an agile manner, adapting to changing priorities and concentrating efforts to meet key project deliverables across the Retailer execution team while working across a variety of campaigns and brands. The role has a particular focus on Morrisons, requiring relationships with the retail media agency MMG, though you may also work across other key retailers.
What You Need to Succeed
The role requires strong project management, communication and collaboration skills, working in a fast-paced environment. Effective stakeholder management is key for success as you will interact with numerous stakeholders across commercial, brand marketing, media, digital, creative, insight, and the wider retail execution and shopper marketing teams. Attention to detail is important to harness data insights, evaluate campaigns and manage investment to drive performance. The successful candidate will forge meaningful relationships with external stakeholders and media agencies.
Experiences & Skills required
* Strong Project Management skills and experience in developing and landing differentiated brand media activations across print and digital channels.
* Engage and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders (Agencies, customers, colleagues, and industry experts). Be comfortable challenging retailer media agencies on their media offering and carry ambition to always improve upon previous work.
* Track and evaluate media activations, share learnings, and measure against KPIs and defined objectives.
* Strong budget management skills, ensuring campaigns are executed to budget with accurate forecasts and the ability to raise Purchase Orders.
* Stay current with new ways of shopping and media associated with an omnichannel world through regular store visits and online walk-throughs.
* Harness relevant shopper data and insights and turn them into strategic actions using Kantar, Nielsen, CMI, and retailer agency data.
* Understand retailer dynamics and strategy, putting the shopper at the centre of all decisions.
