Job: Learning Support Assistant

Duration: Mon - Friday 32.5 hours // Permanent
Pay: £90 - £100 a day
We are working alongside a dynamic and inspiring secondary school in Mid Cornwall. The school is offering an exciting opportunity to make a real difference. You will have a vital and proactive role in supporting the educational, social, emotional, communication and physical development of learners with Special Educational Needs.
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic learning support assistant to join the team. As a Learning Support Assistant you will be working closely with passionate teachers, helping to adapt and bring the curriculum to life, breaking down barriers and unlocking every learner’s potential. You will take an active part in the dynamic organisation of class activities, lead engaging small group and individual 1:1 sessions, and help to create a vibrant learning environment where every learner can thrive, feel valued and achieve beyond expectations.
Responsibilities
* Support the learning, development and welfare of learners with Special Educational Needs across educational, social, emotional, communication and physical development.
* Adapt and deliver curriculum activities, breaking down barriers to enable learner progress.
* Lead engaging small group and one-to-one sessions as required.
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where every learner can thrive.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Appropriate qualifications are required.
* Relevant experience in a similar role is desirable.
* Appreciation of the needs and support of others (e.g., experience in care) is transferable.
* The right candidate will possess a desire to assist in the learning and educational development of children.
* An understanding and commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children is vital.
