Overview
We are recruiting a General Operator to join our team in Northfleet. Application Deadline: 31 October 2025. Department: Operations. Location: Northfleet. Compensation: £34,329 / year.
Responsibilities
* Responsibility for the Health and Safety of self and colleagues at all times.
* Ensure duties regarding Environmental Compliance and Waste Management Licensing Regulations are met at all times.
* Ensure that the start and shut down procedures of all machinery is followed as instructed.
* Complete start up and shutdown procedure maintaining levels of good housekeeping within work area.
* Process waste and operate machinery in accordance with the training and procedures.
* Ensure the correct PPE is worn by self and others at all times.
* Forklift operation in accordance with training, processes and procedures.
* General site maintenance.
* Complete all administrative paperwork required.
* Complete allotted instructions Near Miss reporting.
* Any other duties as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Experience of high standard of H&S.
* Counter balance FLT trained (training can be provided).
* Ability to learn new systems and new machinery operations.
* Good conflict resolution skills based on a “Can do” attitude.
* Must demonstrate high levels of integrity and adopt a professional approach in all interactions – should be transparent, open and honest in all dealings.
* A flexible attitude to the team’s work, including a willingness to reprioritise and undertake additional tasks if required.
