We’re looking for caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Personal Support Workers to support an amazing 11-year-old boy with a rare genetic condition, Autism, and complex medical needs. He may not use words to communicate, but with the right support (and full training provided!), you’ll learn how to understand his unique ways of expressing himself and help him feel safe, happy, and understood. This is a 2:1 support role, so you’ll always work as part of a team to provide consistent supervision and ensure his safety, as he has no awareness of danger and can display sensory-seeking behaviours. He enjoys getting out and about, often using his wheelchair to access the community, so flexibility, energy, and a willingness to get involved are key!
