Overview
To create, review and manage the production plans within the EngineeredSystems Manufacturing Unit (ESMU), working with the production teams to supply all demand in line with the customer requirements. To support the production plan with management and optimisation of key suppliers to target 100% stock availability of purchased items while minimising stock levels.
Responsibilities
* Fully understand, review and action MRP Messages having analysed the data to ensure correct messages are being created (understanding that the messages make multiple assumptions). Where there are variances ensure the source is corrected if in your area of responsibility or raised to the correct area.
* Managing the IC Levels, Demand Messages, Master Data and key KPI’s for relevant components and finished product stock within the ESMU product portfolio and ensure stocks are maintained.
* Fully understand, review and action MRP messages based on an appropriate degree of analysis of the supply and demand situation.
* To manage the release of sales order demand with the aim of balancing customer requirements with production capabilities and maximising customer service metrics.
* Review items as part of the regular Inventory modelling (IQM) process and be able to interpret and recommend the ideal inventory settings and key opportunities to optimize the inventory level e.g. batch size adjustment, lead-time reduction.
* Manage all product sales lead-times aiming to maintain on time to customer requested dates while maintaining the ability to deliver product on time to commitment.
* Review the supply of component parts daily, progressing any key shortages and seeking all possible resolutions which includes, but is not restricted to, suggesting alternative products, adjusting production priorities and identifying substitute components.
* Creation and management of the welding production plans for ESMU Welding Team and close cooperation with production teams to meet the required deadlines, ensuring the plan is correctly prioritized and any issues are promptly resolved.
* Ensure all Purchased Orders are placed within lead time, manage the order acknowledgements and ensure Suppliers are meeting their commitments.
* Work with Strategic Purchasing to support and highlight concerns and best, including delivery performance and supplier collaboration.
* Manage Invoice queries to ensure all invoices can be paid on time.
* Deliver planned performance levels in accordance with agreed departmental key performance indicators (KPI).
* Active involvement to resolve internal and external issues to ensure quality, compliant product is delivered in line with customer service metrics.
Qualifications

* An understanding of project management
* Strong Mathematical ability
* High level of proficiency in MS Excel and Power BI
* Understanding of Supply Chain Principles
* Experience of MRP / ERP Systems
