You will play a key role in supporting the People Directorate by delivering a comprehensive, customer-focused clerical and administrative service. Working within the HR Hub, you will contribute to the smooth running of HR Operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely processing of key people-related procedures. As a HR Assistant (HR Operations) you will: - Maintaining and updating manual HR information systems to ensure data accuracy. - Processing administrative tasks related to resignations, retirements, maternity/paternity leave, career breaks, and long service. - Supporting internal recruitment processes to avoid delays. - Providing general clerical support including scanning, filing, and document management, particularly during employee exits. - Ensuring all interactions reflect the Police Code of Ethics and the organisation's commitment to Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI). The successful candidate will demonstrate: - Proven ability to perform clerical and administrative tasks.(Essential) - Aptitude for computer-based work and familiarity with Microsoft Office.(Essential) - Excellent customer service skills and effective communication via email and telephone.(Essential) - A basic understanding of HR procedures.(Desirable) You will be part of a team that supports an establishment of approximately 13,000 Police Officers and Police Staff, working closely with internal colleagues and external contacts across forces and the public.
