About The Role
Balfour Beatty is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of civil engineering infrastructure and access road works on a major transmission project in Skye. This role will take full responsibility for safe, efficient project delivery, coordinating design, procurement, and construction while working closely with the wider project leadership team.
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead delivery of civil infrastructure and access works from design to completion
* Coordinate design partners and ensure buildable, efficient solutions
* Manage procurement and subcontractor performance
* Integrate works with OHL towers and cable packages
* Develop and oversee programmes, methodologies, RAMS and ITPs
* Monitor progress, productivity and performance
* Identify risks and implement corrective actions
* Ensure accurate project records and reporting
* Lead and support project delivery teams
Health, Safety & Environment
* Champion a strong safety culture and lead by example
* Ensure compliance with all HSE standards and legislation
* Carry out site inspections and manage risk effectively
Commercial & Stakeholder
* Understand contract requirements and manage change
* Work closely with Commercial, Operations and Client teams
* Build strong relationships with SSEN and internal stakeholders
Who We're Looking For
* Civil Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)
* Significant experience delivering infrastructure or linear projects
* Strong leadership and project delivery background
* Manager’s CSCS card
* Professional membership (desirable)
* Results‑driven with a proactive mindset
* High standards and focus on quality delivery
* Strong collaboration and leadership skills
