What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an ELSA to join our wellbeing team. Our ELSAs are vital to the wellbeing of our pupils, and the successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to play a crucial role in supporting pupils as they progress through Toynbee.
The ideal candidates should demonstrate resilience, empathy, patience, and a passion for working with and assisting young people to learn. There are good opportunities for career progression, and previous experience is not essential. Candidates must have proven literacy and numeracy skills, equivalent to GCSE grade C and above. Candidates may have completed ELSA training or be willing to undertake it.
This role is especially suitable for those seeking experience in a secondary school setting and who wish to support the emotional wellbeing of young people. The role of the ELSA is highly valued by pupils, parents, and staff at Toynbee.
