We’re Hiring: Secondary Music & Music Technology Teachers in Bristol

Start Date: ASAP
Full-Time / Part-Time | Flexible Supply with Permanent Opportunities | Key Stage 3 & 4
Specialisms: Music, Music Technology (both welcome)

We’re looking for enthusiastic and adaptable Secondary Music and Music Technology Teachers in Bristol who are seeking flexible supply work, with the opportunity to progress into long-term or permanent roles.

✅ The Role:

* Deliver engaging Music and/or Music Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4

* Teach areas such as performance, composition, listening, and music technology

* Use technology including DAWs, sequencing, and recording software where appropriate

* Encourage creativity, confidence, and musical expression

* Support students working with instruments, vocals, and music software

* Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND

* Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom or studio environment

* Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback

* Work collaboratively with arts departments, technicians, and support staff

* Gain experience across a range of school settings through supply placements

* Qualified Music or Music Technology Teachers (QTS or equivalent)

* ECTs/NQTs looking to gain experience across different schools

* Experienced teachers seeking flexibility or a new environment

✅ Experience & Requirements:

* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or pending QTS

* Degree or strong subject knowledge in Music, Music Technology, or a related field

* Experience teaching Music and/or Music Technology at KS3 and/or KS4 (including during training)

* Confidence delivering both practical and theory-based lessons

* Familiarity with music technology tools (e.g. GarageBand, Logic, Cubase, Ableton – desirable)

* Strong classroom management and communication skills

* Ability to adapt quickly to new school environments

* Commitment to inclusive and high-quality education

* Enhanced Child-Only DBS (or willingness to apply)
