Salary: £25,980 - £27,503
We are currently seeking a Chef Supervisor to join our team at the L20 Hotel School. As the Chef Supervisor, you will work closely with the Head Chef to provide an excellent dining experience to our customers. You will be responsible for inspiring and leading all staff and students within the Port Academy L20 commercial area to embody excellence in all elements of the role including menu development, food production, food safety management, and cleanliness and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in the delivery of an excellent dining experience which includes contemporary food reflecting modern food cookery processes and presentation styles
- Assist in controlling the budget for the purchasing of food goods working with the Head Chef to produce a monthly profit and loss account
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults
- Supervise a team of staff in the provision of an excellent dining experience, which includes contemporary food and, which fully reflects modern food cookery processes and service styles
- Have supervisory responsibility for food production and kitchen operations including menu development, food quality, food safety management systems and cleanliness and hygiene
Key Requirements
- At least 3 years previous experience of working in a kitchen environment at a similar level
-Basic food hygiene qualification
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Strong communication skills
-Excellent knowledge of current trends in food and food production
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings as required, over a 5-day working week. The occasional weekend day may be required.
