PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £70,000-£80,000 + London Weighting (£5,441), depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Why Join the Team?
The Partner Solutions Director will join the Integrated Marketing function which supports the EMEA Ad Sales division in generating commercial revenue. The team are responsible for translating the strength of the BBC brands (including .com and BBC News), audiences, and platforms into successful partnership opportunities that drive revenue for the business, and an enhanced experience for our audiences. The team are also responsible for industry marketing and events in the regions and work alongside our world class in‑house creative studio Storyworks and Insights teams.
Your Key Responsibilities And Impact
* Shape and support the strategic vision of the partner solutions team, driving insight‑led, cross‑functional commercial opportunities with sales, editorial, product, creative and media planning
* Develop compelling, multi‑platform editorial and sponsorship solutions using strong audience insights, while maintaining an effective knowledge bank of sellable marketing collateral
* Create efficient processes, workflows and timelines across internal teams, strengthening relationships and identifying collaborative opportunities across BBC Studios.
* Guide campaigns through the pre‑sale process, selecting creative routes, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring campaigns are set up for successful delivery.
* Monitor and review campaign performance with sales and insights, extracting learnings to improve future work, renewals and continuous improvement across the discipline.
* Lead, inspire and develop the team—managing resources, simplifying direction, promoting innovation and risk‑taking, and role‑modelling excellent behaviours.
* Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, Editorial, Product, and international marketing teams, representing the partnerships team and deputising for the Head of Marketing when required.
* Uphold BBC values, foster an inclusive and high‑performing culture, and ensure policies, tools and project management systems support efficient and effective delivery.
Essential Criteria
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Driven and passionate, a genuine interest in News, and business, who is proactive, data‑driven, and commercially savvy bringing multiple disciplines together in ways which achieve outstanding results.
* Experience translating audience insights and research into a brand strategy and campaign opportunities, to respond to a brief.
* Self‑reliant, resilient and proactive. Able to manage self and others with strong interpersonal skills, adept at working within a complex matrix environment, open to collaboration and making improvements to working practices.
* Experience developing new and effective client partner marketing solutions – likely to have been gained in a large organisation including digital, TV, audio and social media.
* Ability to package / sell in editorial concepts & content confidently to commercial teams, clients & advertisers.
Desirable Criteria
* Extensive experience of strategic and creative success gained at a senior level within the media or digital media industry or a similar brand‑facing business.
* Experience managing critical and sometimes complex stakeholder relationships.
* Experience managing and working collaboratively with teams inside and outside an organization.
* Skills of simplification and driving clarity.
* Line management experience.
* Understanding of marketing strategies of competing brands, services, and their respective business models.
* Experience of client servicing, in a client service role or account handling remit.
* Experience working with editorial & journalist teams.
