Robert Half Technology are assisting a global retail organisation to recruit a Okta Engineer on a contract basis. Remote working - UK based
Technical Skills
1. The Okta Engineer will have expertise in Okta Identity Cloud (SSO, MFA, Lifecycle Management, Universal Directory) or Okta Identity Governance.
2. Knowledge of IAM principles: RBAC, identity governance, privileged access.
3. Proficiency with authentication protocols: SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect.
4. Experience integrating Okta with:
5. Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
6. Directory services (Active Directory, LDAP)
7. SaaS and custom applications.
8. Hands-on experience with Okta Workflows, SCIM, and automation.
9. Familiarity with web technologies: XML, JSON, REST.
Implementation
10. Ability to implement Okta-based IAM solutions for enterprise environments.
11. Knowledgeable on security architecture and best practices.
12. Experience creating technical design documents and integration patterns.
Development & Integration
13. The Okta Engineer will have the ability to build custom Okta workflows and policies.
14. Experience with on-premises and SaaS integrations.
15. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Compliance & Governance
16. Ability to implement identity governance strategies and enforce policies.
Certifications & Experience
17. Okta Certified Engineer or Consultant (preferred).
18. 3-5 years of hands-on Okta Identity Cloud or Okta Identity Governance
