As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Ridge, you will be exposed to many sectors and cultures. Building Services Engineers design, install and maintain the services that are needed to allow the building to do what it is designed to.

Responsibilities
* Work as part of a design team delivering design from feasibility to completion and handover
* Liaise closely with other professionals including clients, structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors both in-house and externally on project teams
* Attend a range of project group and technical meetings
* Ensure that the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements
* Advise clients and architects on energy use and conservation in a range of buildings and sites, aiming to minimise environmental impact and reduce the carbon footprint
* Design site‑specific equipment as required
* Conduct technical reviews of contractors’ proposals and on‑site inspections of the installation of building systems, and review maintenance and operating procedures
* Use specialist computer‑aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit, Trimble Amtech), Revit/Dialux software and other resources to design the systems required for the project
Qualifications
* Accredited Building Services degree or higher educational qualification
* Significant experience in a similar role
* Preferably chartered or working towards chartered engineer status with a suitable institution
* Excellent communication skills to articulate complex issues between clients and highly skilled project teams
* Ambitious, motivated, with a willingness to learn, demonstrating high‑level diligence and organisational skills
