The Role:
Our client are looking for a confident, motivated Business Development Manager to help grow their international client base and explore new opportunities across industries. You'll work closely with the leadership team, shaping strategy while building lasting relationships with senior decision-makers.
This isn't about quick wins — it's about understanding client needs, navigating complex organisations, and helping brands shine on a global stage. If you're curious, proactive, and ready to make your mark, this could be the role for you.
What You'll Do:
* Generate new business across target sectors
* Build long-term relationships with clients and partners
* Represent us at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
* Lead RFP and pitch responses with our designers and project leads
* Keep up with industry trends and feed insights into planning
* Work closely with the team to align business development with our capacity and goals
* Manage your pipeline and report progress to leadership
What They're Looking For:
* 5+ years in business development, client services, or commercial strategy (events/exhibitions experience a bonus, not essential)
* Proven track record in winning and growing accounts
* Strong understanding of B2B events and brand marketing
* Confidence communicating at all levels, from creatives to execs
* Excellent written and verbal skills — clear, persuasive, and approachable
* Organised, self-motivated, and comfortable managing your own pipeline
* Based within reach of Rugby, with flexibility for international travel
