Distant Island Allowance of £2,578 per annum

We are seeking a motivated, highly experienced cardiology nurse, to lead, influence and deliver our cardiac services across NHS Shetland. The post is based in secondary care outreaching to Primary Care.
As the Nurse Consultant, you will lead the cardiac nursing team, whilst ensuring that safe and effective evidence based, person centred cardiac care is delivered, which will include the delivery of heart failure nurse-led clinics, the delivery of cardiac rehabilitation, whilst supporting the cardioversion service.
You will have excellent communication, interpersonal, organisation and teaching skills, together with an enthusiasm to develop new ideas. Proven evidence of professional development, advanced practice, determination, drive and commitment are essential for this post, whilst the ability to work autonomously and within the multidisciplinary team setting across all settings is essential.
The post holder will receive full support from the Consultant Cardiologist (Locum) and Chief Nurse for Acute and Specialist Services and will be given the opportunity to develop/expand their skills and knowledge base to an advanced level, essential for the role
