Job Description Accounts & Audit Senior (Practice) Northampton £35,000 - £40,000 DOE Monday – Friday We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts & Audit Senior to join our clients dynamic and growing team. This is a client-facing role ideal for someone with a solid background in practice who is looking to build on their expertise across a range of accountancy and audit work. Key Responsibilities: Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, including associated corporation tax returns. Lead statutory audits, Solicitors' Accounts Rules (SAR) audits, and grant audits, managing junior staff during fieldwork. Provide support to the Accounts Managers with various ad hoc tasks and assignments for corporate clients. Assist the outsourced services team with the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns when required. Contribute to client projects, such as financial forecasting and planning. The Ideal Candidate: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice. Proven ability to work across a range of industries and client types. In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, particularly FRS 102 Section 1A. Strong understanding of corporate tax and VAT compliance. Familiarity with accounting software, ideally IRIS and Xero. Ability to manage workloads independently and meet tight deadlines Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. A proactive, reliable, and collaborative team player.
