Your role will be instrumental in spreading awareness of our proven technology and expanding our community of users. Your mission is to make all of our customers successful by delivering proactive energy optimisation opportunities across their portfolio of buildings that ultimately delivers a lower carbon footprint for their business. Day to day you will find yourself working with our technology to validate auto-recommendations, whilst complementing those with additional opportunities through desktop-based analysis of energy meters, building management systems and equipment data. Over time you will become an expert in eliminating carbon and costs from energy usage within commercial buildings, enabling you to work directly with our customers and their site teams. You will also work closely with our product and data science teams to help evolve the product and tune our machine learning. The role will be ideal for someone who is passionate about data and the planet, whilst having an interest in how the energy sector can evolve to help save the planet. Read more about Grid Edge: https://gridedge.ai/ What You Will Do (Key Accountabilities): Identify and provide clear recommendations to avoid excess carbon and energy costs through proactive monitoring, analysis and successful communication with the customers on-site team. Work closely with customers to understand the rules for the successful running of each building. Ensuring that is captured within our systems to enable proactive recommendations within the operating rules. Deep dive analysis into energy meter data and building management system data to ensure the accuracy of recommendations. ROI: Helping customers understand the costs and benefits of recommended interventions by always talking in four key languages Carbon, Cost, Consumption and Comfort Provide the customers with support to increasingly self-serve using the Grid Edge platform. Utilise aggregated customer data to find innovative solutions to complex energy problems and provide recommendations to customers. Provide our customers with monthly summary reports of all recommendations raised throughout the month, including carbon and cost savings realised. Build successful relationships with all key customer stakeholders including onsite teams and suppliers. Own and resolve any customer carbon or consumption queries and provide analysis support where needed. Provide technical support to our sales and customer success team to analyse consumption and carbon anomalies. Complement our AI with manual analysis whilst providing feedback to our product team for areas of automation and system improvements. Ensure that all our customers meet or exceed the carbon/cost reduction goals set out in their improvement plans. Support the customer success and marketing team with case study materials. Visit customer buildings to hear directly from the users and the team operating the building whilst understanding the nuances and unique elements of the building structure. An understanding of energy management principles, energy consumption and how this impacts cost and carbon. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information and data sets in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders, executives and non-technical leaders, ensuring all comms are positive and solution focused. You put the customer first and are passionate about ensuring they exceed their goals through exceptional customer service. Strong team player who puts team before self, whilst being able to work on own initiative and drive improvements with little guidance. Dynamic and able to adapt and exceed expectations, often with limited information. Experience working in the energy industry or building management system (BMS) support/engineering Degree level qualification in energy, environment, data science or related subject. Nice to Have: Experience working in Building Facility Operations such as Facilities Management with operational awareness of running building operations and associated comfort factors Interest in sustainability Experience of data analytics platforms such as Power BI or Tableau Experience using technical languages such as SQL and Python Experience using Data Science principles and techniques Experience working with system generated analysis and refining it via constant feedback loops Graduate/Associate membership of appropriate professional body (CIBSE, AEE or Energy Institute preferred) Working towards energy management qualification (e.g. Energy Institute Level 1) What you get: Up to £30k FTE annual salary, dependant on experience.
