At Hotel Du Vin, fifty percent of all revenue comes from catering sales. In many of our hotels, we can be busier in our brasseries than most local restaurants! This provides our chef brigades with a great opportunity to develop their skills within our kitchens—learning new techniques, working in fast-paced environments under pressure, and sometimes with unfamiliar produce.
We offer on-the-job training in-house, as well as collaboration with our training provider to offer nationally recognized apprenticeships. If you want to progress your career, an HDV kitchen is the place to do it. Four of our Head Chefs have been promoted from within, with two starting their journey as kitchen porters.
As a Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef by ensuring the team delivers brand standards smoothly and consistently. Ideally, you will have previous experience at this level and be able to demonstrate your skills in developing your team.
