Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for mechanical works across a range of sectors, with a focus on education and healthcare. Analyse project specifications, drawings, and designs to ensure comprehensive and competitive pricing. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to source and negotiate quotations. Identify and recommend value engineering options to enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Contribute to the tender process by producing well-structured, competitive estimates. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing structures, and material costs. Requirements: Demonstrable experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the construction industry. Proven track record in estimating mechanical works for universities, schools, healthcare, and hospital projects is essential. In-depth knowledge of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and other mechanical systems. Proficiency with estimating software and related tools. Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering is desirable.
