IT Field Engineer
Field based in the South Yorkshire or West Yorkshire area
£28,000 – £34,000 DOE + Benefits
Verus Recruitment is exclusively supporting our client a growing IT services provider as they look to add a talented IT Field Engineer to their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to bring together your technical skills and customer-focused approach in a business that genuinely values both.
You'll be working across multiple client sites in the Sheffield area, delivering hands-on support and building trusted relationships with end users who depend on your expertise. No two days will be the same – and your work will have real impact.
It's a role that combines independence with teamwork, giving you the variety of site-based work alongside the backing of a friendly and knowledgeable Service Desk team.

Act as the first point of contact for technical issues across multiple customer sites.
Build, install and configure devices, servers, and network infrastructure.
Support and maintain backup systems, Windows environments, and Office 365.
Troubleshoot issues with AV equipment and other onsite tech.
Work closely with the Service Desk team to resolve tickets efficiently.
Provide a friendly, approachable and knowledgeable presence that clients can rely on. What you’ll bring:
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar onsite IT support or field-based role.
Strong knowledge of Windows 11, Windows Server, networking, and Office 365.
Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
A proactive, friendly attitude with clear communication skills.
Full, clean UK driving licence (essential) Your benefits:
Starting salary of £28,000 – £31,000 salary (depending on experience).
£3,000 Car allowance.
