Supply Hive are working with a welcoming special school in Slough that is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team supporting pupils with Complex additional needs. This is a full-time role starting ASAP and will run for the remainder of the academic year, with potential to extend. The school supports learners who need a more structured, nurturing approach to access learning and develop independence. You’ll be working closely with class teachers to help pupils engage with the curriculum in a way that works for them, building confidence and routine. Responsibilities Supporting pupils with MLD on a 1:1 and small group basis Helping to adapt learning activities to suit individual needs Encouraging independence, communication and social skills Supporting behaviour in a calm and consistent way Working closely with the class teacher and wider SEN team Requirements Experience working with children or young people with SEN (MLD preferred) A calm, patient and consistent approach Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport Team player who can also use initiative DBS on the update service (or willing to apply) At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority.
