One of our flagship contracts is with the Ministry of Defence at a major base near Watford – a complex, high-profile environment where we provide a full range of hard, soft, and technical FM services.
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Stores & Site Services Operative to join our team at Northwood. In this role, you will ensure the smooth running of the Stores service while also supporting wider site services to meet the contractual requirements of the Northwood PFI contract
What you'll do:
* Receive, issue and deliver stores items in a professional and courteous manner.
* Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all areas within the Stores complex.
* Drive a range of vehicles from the Stores pool (cars, lorries, forklifts, and Powerflex Sweepers), carrying out first daily inspections.
* Ensure the outward appearance and cleanliness of the Northwood Headquarters is maintained.
* Support winter weather duties, including gritting and snow clearing to keep the site safe and operational.
* Take part in a standby/callout rota and occasionally work outside of normal hours.
* Carry out general duties as directed by the Line Manager to support the Northwood contract.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, and Environmental legislation, maintaining high standards at all times.
What you'll bring to the role:
* Proven record of delivering excellent customer service.
* Good understanding of Health & Safety standards and commitment to safe working practices.
* Drivers Licence .
* Reliable, flexible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may also require a higher level of National Security Vetting. You should be aware that certain levels of clearance or specific projects and/or sites have UK residency requirements; and any dual or multiple nationalities must be declared. Any persons who do not fulfil these residency requirements may be unable to obtain the required level of clearance and would not be eligible to undertake this role.
