At Pavers we are transforming and growing our IT Department and have a new opportunity for a Infrastructure Engineer to join the expanding team at our Head Office in York, Northminster Business Park. This role is offered as a full-time permanent opportunity in a growing business where you are encouraged to develop and expand your skills in a supportive environment.
This is a technically focused role, assisting in the support and transformation of our infrastructure estate to being more resilient and future focused. IT and technology are at the heart of almost everything we do, and this role is crucial in facilitating our ongoing success. Sitting within our IT Operations team, you will be responsible for driving our CLOUD first strategy, whilst ensuring that daily system operations are performed in a security conscious manner.
Experience of at least one of the following CLOUD platforms is essential for this role, Microsoft, AWS or Google, whilst awareness of others is desirable. You will be part of a transformational period within the organisation and the role has huge scope for technical growth. Pavers are present in all three major cloud platforms and much of this role will focus on ensuring these platforms are well managed from a security, cost and performance perspective. You will have strong interpersonal skills, with a can-do attitude and not be afraid to take charge of incident management, should the need arise.
Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, within a small but focused team, you will be part of an exciting journey to move Pavers forward. The focus of this role is very much on the future, as the organisation embarks on a system modernisation project, which will explore and challenge all business areas.
