The position
This is an amazing opportunity for an exceptional individual to join our friendly team working as a wood machinist. The ideal candidate should have a passion for woodworking, have experience working within the woodworking industry and have a keen eye for detail.
Your responsibilities in the role:
* Manufacture wooden products including oak beams, shelves, and bespoke joinery items.
* Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and effectively.
* Work to production schedules while maintaining high quality standards.
* Carry out finishing processes such as sanding and oiling.
* Maintain a tidy and safe workshop environment.
* Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth workflow.
* Encourage efficient production, identify production issues, discuss with manager, and help implement solutions.
Requirements
* Previous joinery or woodworking experience is essential.
* Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
* Ability to read and work from measurements accurately.
* Confident in using woodworking machinery and hand tools.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

This is a permanent, full-time position, with regular hours of Monday - Friday 9:00 - 5:00. During busy periods there is a requirement to work overtime paid at time and a half.
