Class 1 Experienced Tramper Driver - Basildon
Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver looking to take the next step in your career? We are Stronghold Logistics Ltd, providing an excellent middle-mile service to big brand names. There’s no loading or unloading required; it’s all about driving safely, providing good customer service, and working positively with other members of the team. Positions open for tramping and trunking with day and night shifts available.
Responsibilities
* Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles with tramping or trunking duties as assigned.
* Drive safely and comply with all legal, regulatory, and company standards.
* Ensure timely delivery and/or collection of trailers to and from clients.
* Complete required documentation accurately using the company online system.
* Keep vehicles and equipment clean, tidy, and secure at all times.
* Maintain tachograph records in line with current legislation.
* Represent the company professionally and deliver excellent customer service.
* Follow Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines and company Driver’s Handbook.
* Report accidents, breakdowns, or emergencies promptly according to policy.
Requirements
* UK work permit mandatory.
* Current driving licence appropriate for the role (HGV / Class C / Class C+E).
* Valid Driver CPC with no suspensions or revocations.
* No more than six penalty points; no DD, DR, or IN endorsements.
* Possession of a valid Digital Tachograph / Smart Card.
* Legal right to work in the UK.
* Willingness to undergo a Background Check (BGC) and Drug & Alcohol (D&A) screening.
* Strong communication skills and ability to manage workload independently while meeting deadlines.
