Job Description
We are seeking a Quality Inspector for our ISO9001 registered precision machine shop. A minimum of 1 year experience as an inspector is required.
Responsibilities:
1. Complete in-process and final inspections of precision machined parts.
2. Identify defects in measurements of parts.
3. Inspect and approve parts by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable parts.
4. Inspect in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor.
5. Approve finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work completion.
6. Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into the quality database.
7. Maintain measurement equipment by following operating instructions, calibration requirements, and calling for repairs when necessary.
Qualifications:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Basic math and computer skills.
* Attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Effective documentation and reporting skills.
* Good hand/eye coordination.
* Ability to read blueprints.
* Proficiency in using measuring tools such as micrometers, veneers, drop indicators, and optical inspection equipment.
