Are you a passionate and proactive individual looking to support children in a primary school setting? A friendly and inclusive school in Mitcham is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of a supportive staff team, working closely with pupils to help them reach their full potential both academically and emotionally. The role involves assisting a pupil on a one-to-one basis, as well as providing general classroom support as needed.
What the role involves:
* Support a pupil with additional needs throughout the school day
* Assist with lesson delivery and reinforce learning objectives
* Provide behaviour and emotional support where required
* Help maintain a safe and positive learning environment
* Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
* Promote the school’s values and encourage inclusion
Who we're looking for:
* Someone positive, patient and enthusiastic about supporting learning
* A confident communicator who enjoys working with children
* Ideally someone with experience in schools, nurseries, or similar settings (voluntary or paid)
* Available to start from September
