Description
Higher Level Apprenticeship (Level 4): Commercial Procurement and Supply
Location: Newcastle City Centre
Duration: 24 months (with career progression opportunities)
Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £23,875 per annum. We will also fund your accredited professional qualification and membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS).

Typical day as a Procurement Apprentice
* You will assist the Procurement Team in maintaining efficient purchasing processes and ensuring compliance with policies.
* You will help colleagues understand and adhere to buying policies, process purchase requisitions, and manage queries in the procurement inbox.
* You will participate in projects, prepare documents, and as you progress, manage small value projects, providing recommendations and analysis for value for money.
* You will report to a Team Manager and have a mentor for guidance.
* You will work with an apprenticeship provider to attend training and achieve a recognised qualification.
* You will receive support from experienced tutors and your team, with access to learning materials and practical experience.

About you
* You meet the entry requirements: 5 GCSEs A-C (9-4) including English and Maths, and evidence of at least two A-levels (or equivalent), or two years of business experience.
* You are proactive, professional, eager to learn, and able to meet deadlines.
* You are interested in personal and professional development and willing to study additional materials.
* You can communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
* You have basic IT skills and are willing to develop skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* You are organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
Our team
You will join Paula and our friendly Procurement team of 20 experienced members, including former apprentices who started in this role.
Job details
* You will undertake a Level 4 qualification over 24 months, gaining valuable experience.
* Many apprentices secure permanent roles with us after completing the program.
* This is a hybrid role: at least two days a week at our office in Newcastle, one day at college in Darlington (travel expenses paid), and the rest from home.
* 20% of your working week is allocated for study and support towards your qualification.
