Website Administrator Trainee Placement Programme
This is a training programme with career placement and fees apply. It is designed for individuals with none or limited experience who have a real desire to start a career in website administration. The programme provides industry-recognised certifications, a structured CV and LinkedIn profile, a credible portfolio, and a pathway to an entry-level role in coding, programming, or web development.
What you will do
You will complete a structured training and placement journey designed to build fundamentals for a new career in website administration and related roles. The programme aims to help you reach an entry-level position in top UK companies and organisations that need qualified programming staff who can hit the ground running.
Stage 1 – Learn HTML and CSS (up to 12 weeks)
* Complete a selection of professional and industry-recognised courses
* HTML Essentials (up to 6 weeks)
* CSS Essentials (up to 6 weeks)
Training is delivered via multimedia video tutorials, presentations and quizzes online. You will be assigned an expert tutor and a support mentor for 1-2-1 or group sessions.
Stage 2 – Additional Online Training (up to 12 weeks)
* Learn the Command Line (1.5 weeks)
* Learn Git & GitHub (1.5 weeks)
* Learn JavaScript (1.5 weeks)
* Learn Python 3 (1.5 weeks)
JavaScript forms the foundation of most web projects. Python is a versatile language widely used across industries.
Stage 3 – Building a Portfolio Website Project (1 week)
Your tutor will guide you through exercises to create a personalised portfolio. A strong portfolio demonstrates your range of skills to potential employers. Completion of optional but recommended study courses is encouraged.

Stage 4 – Entry Level Web Administrator placement
We will work with you to secure your first role using your new skills in coding, programming, or web development. Entry level roles typically start between £25K - £40K depending on prior knowledge or experience.
Examples of entry-level roles include: Junior Developer, Website Administrator, Website Support Developer, Junior Web Developer, Content Editor, Wordpress Developer, Junior Software Developer, Junior Front or Back End Development, Development Support.
