This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Social Workers with post‑qualification experience, or social workers who have successfully completed the ASYE Programme, to join Northumberland County Council Adults, Ageing & Wellbeing Directorate. The role is based in our North Team at Alnwick Fire Station, Alnwick or Macdonald House, Berwick‑Upon‑Tweede. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive assessments, manage your own caseload, and receive regular supervision and guidance from your Team Manager. A clear understanding of the Care Act and the Local Authority’s statutory duties is essential.
Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of vulnerable adults.
* Manage and oversee your caseload independently.
* Provide regular support and interventions in line with statutory duties.
* Attend supervision and guidance sessions with the Team Manager.
Qualifications & Eligibility
* Degree in Social Work (or equivalent) and hold a Social Work England registration.
* Completed the UK Skills for Care ASYE programme.
* Valid driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.
