Responsibilities
* Oversee all aspects of food production and kitchen operations
* Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
* Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols
* Manage inventory, including ordering and maintaining stock levels of ingredients
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health regulations
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge
* Develop new menu items that reflect current trends and customer preferences
Skills
* Proven supervising experience in a culinary setting
* Strong background in food production and preparation techniques
* Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate others
* Comprehensive knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
* Previous kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment is essential
* Culinary experience with a focus on creativity and innovation in dish creation
* Understanding of hospitality principles and customer service excellence
* Strong leadership qualities with the ability to make decisions under pressure
