About the role
We are looking for an Outreach Worker to join our services in Fort William.
You will work mainly on a one-to-one basis in the community and/or in people’s homes, responsible for one-to-one support, including carrying a caseload and developing and reviewing personal support plans. You will work autonomously, knowing when to refer to your Manager and taking responsibility for your own work.
You will also play a lead role in developing the service through collaboration with the people who use the service, resource centre staff, colleagues across the Highland team, and stakeholder organisations, including voluntary sector agencies, NHS Highland, and other statutory bodies. Working alongside our Highland area team, this role offers an opportunity to make a positive difference to the lives of people affected by mental health issues.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have experience working in the mental health field or in another support work area, with an SVQ3 (or equivalent) qualification in Health and Social Care.
A driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.
If you are interested but unsure if you meet all the qualifications and experience requirements, please get in touch for an informal discussion.
We are committed to exploring flexible working opportunities that benefit both the individual and the charity and are a “Happy to Talk Flexible” employer. The post is for 21 hours per week, with working days to be discussed and agreed with the Locality Manager and can be adjusted for the suitable candidate.
If you are passionate about enabling Change Mental Health to deliver valuable services to the Scottish community and believe your profile matches this role’s criteria, we want to hear from you!
