4basebio (AIM: 4BB) is a Cambridge-based biotechnology company pioneering the use of synthetic DNA to enable next-generation therapeutics and vaccines. Through its proprietary enzymatic DNA synthesis platform, 4basebio produces GMP-grade synthetic DNA and mRNA with superior speed, purity, and scalability, overcoming the limitations of plasmid-based systems. The Commercial Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing commercial operations, building structure, improving efficiency, and turning revenue strategy into operational reality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own and optimise the CRM, including pipeline architecture, deal stages, workflows, automation, and reporting
* Design and evolve pipeline & forecast analytics, applying data-driven decision to drive measurable improvements in progression, growth, forecast accuracy, and pipeline sufficiency
* Build repeatable dashboards and automated frameworks that reduce manual effort and enable self-service insights for revenue leaders
* Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Partnerships, and Finance to identify conversion gaps, execution risks, and pipeline health issues
* Support renewals and churn visibility work by helping define baselines, directional risk indicators, and forecasting inputs grounded in clear assumptions and consistent definitions.
* Translate analytical outputs into concise narratives, recommendations, and trade-offs for executive and leadership audiences to support forecast and pipeline cadences
* Drive standardization of inputs, outputs, definitions, and processes across regions and functions to improve consistency, data quality, and operational efficiency
Required Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field
* 5+ years of experience in sales/commercial operations, CRM and Marketing Automation administration (Hubspot, Salesforce, Klient, etc)
* Proven track record building and managing a multi-tool sales technology stack
* Strong background in project management and process improvement
