Our state of the art cleanroom manufactures products in our fastest growing production area, the Semiconductor Industry. The new generation of high-end seals for extreme operating conditions come at unrivalled low outgassing performance, ensuring high productivity and reliability of core semiconductor processes.
Summary:
As a Production Team Leader in the Cleanroom, you will represent a key role within operations and manufacturing and be responsible for supporting the Production Manager and the departments team of staff. As a Team Leader, your primary focus will be on fostering a safety-first culture within your team. You’ll lead by example, ensuring that safety remains at the forefront of everyone’s minds. Additionally, you’ll optimise workflow efficiency by optimally managing labour and equipment resources. Your goal is to consistently deliver high-quality products on time. Hourly Rate: £16.62 with 10% Shift Premium Week 1 Shift: Monday - Friday 6am-2pm Week 2 Shift: Monday - Thursday 2pm-11:53pm
Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Support the planning of the factory and stand in for Production Manager where vital
2. Responsible for achieving production KPI’s for factory and be able to demonstrate impacts on business performance and how to put
3. Implement improvement’s to resolve issues affecting production
4. Plan labour for factory, raising resourcing concerns to the line manager when relevant and make appropriate suggestions to resolve the issues yourself first
5. Booking output from the production lines daily
6. Investigation and documentation of disciplinary and/or capability issues in accordance with Company policy
7. Monitor attendance and sickness levels for your area in line with company targets. Ensure Return to Work interviews are conducted within 24 hours of staff return; raising concerns to line manager and/or HR Manager where appropriate.
8. Undertake appraisals and performance review when required, highlighting training and development needs and ensuring these are met
9. Ensure quality targets are met and take the lead in root cause analysis (RCA) events to understand cause and prevent re-occurrence
10. In conjunction with Production Engineers look to assist in standardisation and continuous improvement of manufacturing methods / processes
11. Responsible for opening and closing the factory as and when required
12. Promote lean manufacturing core principle that promote manufacturing excellence.

Education and Experience
15. Relevant industry background in the manufacturing environment
16. Engineering or industry experience
17. Line Management Experience
18. Working in a cleanroom environment, not essential but preferable
Personal Competencies This position calls for someone with excellent organisational and planning skills that is able to influence others and lead a team. For this being demonstrating experience in people management would be valuable. We would value a leader who shows a strong understanding of health and safety requirements and ensures that our safety first culture is part of their team. Elements of the role will require strong 1 to 1 personal skills as well as delivering information to large groups, and we will be looking for experience with Microsoft office such as Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
