Streets Operative
Hourly Rate – £12.97 per hour
Hours – 40 hours per week
Location & Postcode – Havering, RM12 5BF
As a Streets Operative you will ensure services are delivered in line with the Borough Council’s contract specifications, working within Health and Safety legislative requirements and complying with FCC Quality and Environmental procedures.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.

What will you be doing?
· Carry out duties safely and to the required standards
· Undertake street bin emptying, litter picking, sweeping, weed removal and fly-tip removal
· Follow safety instructions and always wear designated PPE
· Lift or remove bins and carry out significant walking and street cleansing tasks
· Collect waste, recyclables, organics and bulky items from a variety of locations
· Report defects, incidents and uncompleted works to a Supervisor
· Maintain service standards and participate in continuous improvement
· Ensure vehicles are not overloaded
· Work courteously, cleanly and efficiently
· Cooperate with health monitoring programmes
· Maintain good working relationships
· Carry out any other reasonable duties as required
What are we looking for?
