Hywel Dda is seeking an experienced and values‑driven Assistant Director of Nursing - Patient Safety, Quality & Experience to join the senior leadership team within the Clinical Care Group for Planned and Specialist Care, based in West Wales. This is a senior nursing leadership role within a distinctive healthcare setting serving a large rural and coastal population. Reporting to the Clinical Care Group Service Director and professionally accountable to the Executive Director of Nursing, you will shape and improve patient safety, quality and experience across Planned and Specialist Care services, leading the quality, governance and patient experience agenda and supporting a culture of openness, learning and continuous improvement across services delivered in hospitals and community settings throughout West Wales.
This role offers significant visibility, autonomy and influence with the opportunity to make a tangible difference to patient care and staff experience in a health board where senior nursing leadership is highly valued.
The Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties. We have over 13,000 staff and provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services, with services delivered in hospitals, community settings and integrated care centres across the region.
The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post. If you do not meet the Welsh language requirements specified, learning options and staff support are available during employment with us.
