Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Industrial Door Engineer to join our team covering Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who knows the industry well and can work independently to a high standard. You will be carrying out installations, servicing, and repairs on a range of industrial door systems across commercial and industrial sites.
In addition to industrial doors, we also carry out automatic door installations. Experience in automatic doors would be an advantage, however full training will be provided if this is not an area you have previously worked in.
We offer steady, consistent work with no callout rota currently in place.
Duties Key Responsibilities:
* Installation of industrial roller shutters, sectional doors, and high-speed doors
* Servicing, planned maintenance, and fault finding
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
* Installation and servicing of automatic doors (training provided where required)
* Working independently across commercial and industrial sites
* Completing job reports accurately and professionally
* Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and site safety
* Keeping company vehicle, tools, and equipment organised and in good condition
There is currently no callout rota in place, although this may be introduced in the future as the business grows.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an Industrial Door Engineer (installation, service and repairs)
* Strong knowledge of roller shutters, sectional doors and high-speed doors
* Confident with motors, control panels, safety edges and photocells
* Ability to fault find independently without technical support
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Good communication skills and professional manner with clients
* Reliable, organised and able to manage workload effectively
Desirable but not essential:
* Experience with loading bay equipment
* Experience with automatic doors
* DHF / ADSA / NVQ qualifications
* IPAF or CSCS
Automatic door training will be provided where required.
