We are seeking a Full Time Quality Engineer to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks team. This role will be working in our Environment Sector in alliance with The Environment Agency on our Bridgwater Tidal Barrier major project.
Responsibilities of a Quality Engineer
As a Quality Engineer, you'll work within the Environment team, supporting the project and delivery teams to deliver the Bridgwater Tidal Barrier in alliance with the Environment Agency. You will be responsible for onsite quality control and monitoring of packages of works across complex major projects, including civils, earthworks, piling, reinforced concrete, cladding, MEICA, and internal fit-out.
Your day-to-day will include:
* Interfacing with the delivery team engineers, internal quality team, Client Surveillance team, and quality representatives.
* Implementing and ensuring adherence to project procedures, scope, specifications, Project Execution Plan (PEP), Project Quality Plan, and British/International Standards.
* Understanding product traceability requirements, including product movements, physical checks, delivery tickets, Certificates of Conformity, and approving products for onsite use via Material Acceptance Forms (MAF).
* Reviewing quality documentation, such as Lifetime Quality Records, End of Construction Records (ECSR), Product Approval Records, and project procedures.
* Carrying out quality site inspections to ensure compliance with standards, drawings, and specifications.

* Have knowledge and practical experience in quality control activities in construction.
* Can interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Maintain clear and accurate records and reports.
* Possess a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
