This is an exciting opportunity for a bright, committed, and innovative individual who can work with both mature and 16-19-year-old learners as part of a dynamic and successful team within a well-established Further Education college.
The main responsibilities include teaching GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths at our North Street and South Bank campuses, developing programmes of study to meet learners' needs who have not yet achieved a Level 2 qualification in maths, assessing students according to programme requirements, and contributing to quality systems and effective organization of the department through proper establishment of syllabuses, schemes of learning, and records.
The Qualifications Deemed Essential For The Post Are
* A relevant, up-to-date qualification in maths at Level 3 or above, or a related subject.
* A Level 4 teaching qualification.
The ability to communicate effectively with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is also essential.
