Production & Procurement Coordinator duties Carry out buying exercises during tender stages by obtaining and comparing competitive quotes across all required packages.
Lead post-award procurement to improve project margins through smarter sourcing of labour, materials, and specialist trades.
Source, contact, and evaluate subcontractors and suppliers for both planned and reactive project requirements.
Support the production team by organising materials, equipment, deliveries, and logistics for live projects.
Manage urgent procurement needs when issues arise on site, ensuring works are delivered quickly and within budget.
Maintain and update a supplier and subcontractor database with prices, contacts, and performance records.
Track all procurement enquiries and follow up to ensure responses are received within tender and project deadlines.
Prepare basic cost comparisons, quote summaries, and value assessments for the commercial team.
Assist with placing orders, managing lead times, and coordinating deliveries.
Liaise with Contracts Managers, QSs, and site teams to understand project requirements and provide timely procurement support.
Support the team on variations by sourcing cost-effective solutions and obtaining reactive quotes.
Carry out general production coordination tasks to help the team run smoothly day-to-day.
Assist with preparing production materials, equipment, and documentation.
Maintain accurate records, logs, and trackers for production activities.
Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal departments to facilitate smooth workflows.
Help organise deliveries, collections, equipment bookings, and site logistics.
Support with quality checks, stock control, and basic reporting.
Assist during on-site or off-site production tasks when required.
Ensure health and safety protocols are followed at all times.
