Job description
We are working exclusively with a Secondary School in Lymm, Warrington and they are looking for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support children who have additional learning needs, supporting either a group of children or being assigned to support one child (TBC). The role is for 5 weeks, but there are opportunities within the school.
It is a fully inclusive school, where the children are treated equally no matter their ability, which is evident through their broad curriculum which is differentiated according to each individual need. The school provide support to children with Special Education Needs (SEN), helping them in realising their full potential through changing their provision to suit their academic and personal progress.
CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS:
1. Location – Lymm, Warrington
2. Position – Special Needs Teaching Assistant
3. Type Of Work – Group or 1:1 support with children with SEN
4. Start date – ASAP
5. Duration / Likely Duration – 5 Weeks
6. End date (if applicable) – Ongoing
7. Contract type – Temporary
8. Full time/part time – Full time
9. Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate £120 per day
10. Hours – 8:30 am – 3:30pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
11. Experience working with children with SEN in any capacity.
12. Team Teach – Advantageous but not essential.
13. Previous experience working in a UK Secondary School.
14. Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as Prospero provide a free online course).
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
15. Hold Right to Work in the UK.
16. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £
