This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable teaching and coaching experience, and to be part of an accomplished sports team. The successful candidate will contribute to sporting and co-curricular programmes across the school (Prep and Senior) and coach across a variety of sports.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* To assist with the planning and coaching of sport sessions at the direction of the Sports Leads.
* To contribute to the extensive co-curricular programme and all areas of school life.
* To be responsible for individual teams on match days and undertake officiating duties as required.
* Assist the Sports Department with some of the lunchtime and after-school sports clubs and training sessions.
* To provide mentoring support and constructive feedback to pupils to ensure progress.
* To take accurate registers at the beginning of each session.
* Provide the Sports Department with basic administrative support.
* To assist with the organisation on sporting fixtures and trips.
* Refereeing and umpiring matches as appropriate.
* To contribute to the sports department by attending department meetings.
* Monitoring and maintaining health and safety standards. Administering basic first aid to pupils and reporting incidents (subject to successful completion of First Aid qualification).
* Any other duties as required by the School.
